Welcome
My name is Helen Durand, and I am an Associate Professor at Wayne State University in the exciting city of Detroit in the Department of Chemical Engineering and Materials Science.
The core mission of our research group is to improve the lives of people around the world and develop the technology that would make what today are only dreams into reality. We are using control theory, physics, and mathematics to seek to mitigate cybersecurity hazards for industrial control systems and to characterize the applicability of next-generation computing systems in control. We are designing intelligent systems and harnessing the principles of physics and control to achieve new paradigms in information processing and materials manipulation.
If you are interested in becoming a part of my group, please contact me. We have a number of open PhD positions and are currently recruiting!
