Wayne State University

My name is Helen Durand, and I am an Associate Professor at Wayne State University in the exciting city of Detroit in the Department of Chemical Engineering and Materials Science.

The core mission of our research group is to improve the lives of people around the world and develop the technology that would make what today are only dreams into reality. We are using control theory, physics, and mathematics to seek to mitigate cybersecurity hazards for industrial control systems and to discover and characterize game-changing approaches for artificial intelligence, materials and engineering systems design, interfacing control with computing and communication systems, and healthcare.

If you are interested in becoming a part of my group, please contact me. We have a number of open PhD positions and are currently recruiting!
